Description:

This report reviews the status of youth served in Florida's out-of-home residential treatment programs, including the Statewide Inpatient Psychiatric Program (SIPP), specialized therapeutic foster care (STFC), and therapeutic group care (TGC). Descriptions of these programs are provided below. Evaluation activities during this fiscal year consisted of training and technical assistance to promote trauma-informed practices, enhance STFC services, select SIPP performance indicators, and implement an online reporting tool for SIPP providers. Additional activities involved the analysis of administrative data to evaluate treatment patterns and continuity of care, family involvement during treatment, and characteristics of youth served in SIPP facilities.
