Description:

The current study was conducted to enhance our understanding of the relationship between mental health service provision and mental health outcomes for children in out-of-home care, and to identify characteristics of children classified as having persistent mental health problems. This was a longitudinal study in which administrative data were utilized to assess the association between the number and type of mental health services provided to children through the Child Welfare Prepaid Mental Health Plan (CW PMHP) and their mental health status as measured by the Children's Functional Assessment Rating Scale (CFARS).
