Developmental studies of mental-physical health comorbidity and cost-offset

In response to the recent interest of the scientific community in comorbidity of mental and physical health disorders, and cost-offset of physical health services when mental health services are received, two developmental studies to explore these issues were designed and conducted by the Louis de la Parte Florida Mental Health Institute (FMHI) for the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA). The goal of these studies was to begin developing research methods to examine the two issues and to provide aggregate data to be used in planning future, more targeted analyses of these issues.
