The purpose of the present study was to asses outcomes for children who receive mental health services under two financing conditions in two areas of the state. The goals of the study were: (A) to determine whether children enrolled in the financing conditions differed at admission with regard to demographics, the severity of their mental health problems, or their psychosocial functioning, and (B) to determine whether the children receiving services under these two financing conditions improved over time and whether they differed in the degree to which they improved over time. Data collected as part of the statewide monitoring system were used to assess the difference in these groups of children.
