2008 Live Baker Act Training
About The Workshop
There are two methods to obtain Baker Act training. The first method is our new on-line training classroom. Our Baker Act on-line training enables anyone wishing to learn about the Florida Baker Act law to learn on his or her own time using our on-line and self-directed learning environment. This is the recommended method for anyone completing a previous Baker Act training and anyone else who is comfortable with on-line learning.
The second method to receive Baker Act training is through one of our 13 live training locations throughout the State of Florida. Each training is taught by our Baker Act expert, Martha Lenderman, MSW. No additional instructor-led Baker Act events are scheduled for the remaining 2008 year.
Both methods of training provide an overview for a wide variety of persons who need to be familiar with the Baker Act and its procedures, including law enforcement, mental health professionals, hospital personnel, attorneys, advocates, case managers, nursing home/ALF staff, protective service workers and others. This workshop will provide the most up-to-date information about the Baker Act.
