Biography     

 

Norman Poythress is the Research Director and a Professor in the Department of Mental Health Law & Policy. He received his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Texas at Austin in 1977. Prior to coming to USF in 1990, he worked at the Center for Forensic Psychiatry in Ann Arbor, Michigan (1977-1982) and the Taylor Hardin Secure Medical Facility in Tuscaloosa, Alabama (1982-1990).
