Dr. Paul Stiles was presented with the USF School of Aging Studies Sue Saxon Award for Outstanding Teaching

 

Congratulations to Dr. Paul Stiles who was presented with the USF School of Aging Studies Sue Saxon Award for Outstanding Teaching. As Associate Professor in FMHI’s Department of Mental Health Law & Policy, Dr. Stiles’ focus is on geriatric mental health services and policy. His research has involved the compilation, integration, analysis and dissemination of relatively large administrative data sets (e.g. Medicaid/Medicare eligibility and claims files, national hospital surveys, state mental health service regulatory databases) and the application of findings to pressing policy issues. He teaches graduate and undergraduate courses on legal and ethical issues in aging, provides intensive workshops on research ethics, and chairs the social-behavioral IRB for the University of South Florida. Dr. Stiles' clinical experience includes providing psychological and neuropsychological services in both private and public psychiatric facilities as well as nursing homes.
