Dr. Marion Becker receives the 2008 Women’s Leadership Award.

 

The Women’s Leadership Awards were initiated to recognize women who have made outstanding contributions in research, service, and mentoring to women and girls at USF and throughout the community. This award was presented in recognition of Dr. Becker's research and advocacy for vulnerable populations of all ages, and for her mentorship of women at USF and elsewhere. 

Thanks to Airia Papadopoulos, who presented the award to Dr. Becker at the ceremony, and who nominated Dr. Becker for the award. The awards ceremony was attended by approximately 60 individuals from throughout the University, including President Genshaft and Provost Wilcox.  Kudos to Dr. Becker for this well deserved achievement and for her recognition at USF!
