Academic Programs

As an active teaching institute of the University of South Florida, FMHI provides behavioral health educational programs for academic credit at the undergraduate and graduate levels. In addition, educational experiences are available for students through internships, post-doctoral fellowships and preceptorships and the Research Experience for Undergraduates program. MHLP faculty and staff provide classes, supervision, and mentoring on all of these levels.

MHLP faculty provide advanced coursework in several programs at USF including the Ph.D. in Public Health, Ph.D. in Special Education, the Master's in Social Work, the Master's in Applied Behavioral Analysis, the Ph.D. in Aging Studies, and Graduate Certificate programs. Undergraduate and graduate classes in the Criminology, Psychology, Counselor Education, and Rehabilitation and Counseling programs also are offered by MHLP faculty. In addition, the Minor in Behavioral Healthcare is available to USF undergraduate students and is housed in MHL&P.

To facilitate the various teaching activities of the MHLP faculty, the MHLP Academic Unit offers assistance to faculty and staff in developing and scheduling courses in conjunction with the FMHI Dean's office and the CFS Graduate programs academic unit.
