Interviewing Techniques

 

One day training

This course is designed for investigators of initial cases of child abuse/neglect. Focus is on introduction of developmentally appropriate interview techniques/linguistic issues and areas of concern in the interviews of young children. The course addresses controversies in the interview process, domains of child development, traumagenic dynamics in the impact of sexual abuse, the disclosure process, recantation and protocol issues.
