Elida Porro Receives 2010 TRAIN Award from USF
As a project team member, Elida has made significant contributions to TRAIN™ since its inception. The primary focus of The Research Administration Improvement Network (TRAIN™) is to build the research support infrastructure at USF by implementing continuous training and education for administrative staff, improving business processes and reporting, and enhancing research-related communication across campus.
Elida's manual, Guidelines and Procedures for Financial Monitoring and Reconciling, served as the foundation for TRAIN™’s Award Reconciliation Workshop. This workshop has been adapted by the University Controller's Office to ensure reconciliation of funds in non-sponsored accounts.
Elida’s hard work and dedication personifies the mission of TRAIN™ - to develop standardized business processes and identify best practices for research administration and then disseminate this vital information across disciplinary, departmental, college, and campus boundaries.
